Optio comes from the latin word for “choice”. At Optio Vineyards we feel that just as we make choices in life, so too, we make choices in the vineyard and in the winemaking process. Optio Vineyards is a micro-boutique wine label located in Paso Robles, California. Established in 2014, Optio Vineyards mission is to choose the best grapes from the best vineyards, in order to create the best wines in the region. Specializing in Spanish and Rhone blends, Optio Vineyards works meticulously with winemaker Aaron Jackson to craft the most balanced wines in Paso Robles. Our estate vineyard named LaMar Vineyard, sits on a hilltop at 1,100 foot elevation, nestled at the tail end of the Templeton Gap in the newly designated Geneseo AVA. We make very small lots of wine each year, which are available via mailing list , as well as at select restaurants in Paso Robles. Please feel free to join our mailing list without any obligations. A Hidden Gem in Paso Robles – Truly Exceptional!
We recently spent 6 days at Optio Inn and Vineyard, and it far exceeded our expectations! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning views overlooking the vineyard, with breathtaking sunrises and sunsets that added to the peaceful, almost surreal atmosphere.
One of the highlights was the private wine tasting – their boutique wines are absolutely phenomenal! Each bottle was distinct, flavorful, and memorable. We loved them so much that we shipped several bottles home to enjoy later.
The accommodations were perfect – spotless, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Optio Vineyard is truly a hidden gem nestled in the heart of the thriving Paso Robles wine country.
