Densely packed on the nose, oak and chocolate-covered black cherry notes, along with savory leather, sweet tobacco, earth, and umami notes compliment the ripe fruit. With air, an eucalyptus/tea tree note emerges. Concentrated flavors of dried black cherries, oak dust, black plum, and maraschino cherries are framed by hints of black licorice, soy-glazed meat, and cocoa powder. Full bodied, with packed fruit on the mid-palate, the finish showcases youthful tannins, oak shavings, dark chocolate, and medium roast coffee. As the tannins firm up in the finish, they frame a rich note of cherry cola. Along the way are aromas of eucalyptus, menthol, and aromatic dried herbs.
