Rich and ripe, it opens with notes of dried black plum, Medjool date, Mission fig, brown sugar, and blackberry preserves. Aromatic notes of peppered meat drippings, slightly smoky oak, maple syrup and bay leaf round out the profile. Thick and dense, its shows blackberry syrup, and cordial notes. Concentrated and mouth coating, its full bodied profile sticks to mid-palate. The long finish resonates of dense berries, melted fruits, dark chocolate, dates, and teriyaki. Full bodied and concentrated, it shows a surprising brightness and fresh acidity to the finish, showing spicy berry fruit, prominent oak, and a smoky, meaty, and chocolatey note that lift the wine up beautifully.
