Deep and rich, it opens with bright blackberry, cassis, and ripe cherry notes, along with a lavish oak profile that shows mocha, smoked dark chocolate, sweet tobacco, and grilled meat notes. A bright, fruit driven entry shows red currant and chocolate-covered cherry notes on a round frame that is rich but soft, with well integrated tannins and great balance. Notes of cedar, sarsaparilla, round out the profile, with a long, sweet finish framed by oak notes of mocha, milk chocolate, and toast. Balanced acidity fills in the juicy finish, where the red fruit echoes through the sweeter oak tones.
